1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HERU platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately. These terms apply to all users, including teachers, students, and administrators.

2. Platform Usage Rules

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to any third party.
  • You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms.
  • You may not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any Platform content or methodology without written permission.
  • Teachers are responsible for appropriate use of the Platform within their classrooms.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, methodologies, frameworks, and materials on this Platform — including but not limited to HERU®, AKUA®, KWEKU®, and the Rodriguez Text-Tagging Method (RTTM) — are proprietary intellectual property developed by Dr. Schandra K. Thompkins Rodriguez-Conti and owned exclusively by The LeoLab, LLC.

All instructional logic, game mechanics, cognitive frameworks, and pedagogical methodologies are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited. © All rights reserved. The LeoLab, LLC.

4. Independent Operation

The HERU Platform is independently developed and operated by The LeoLab, LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any school district, government agency, or educational institution unless a formal written agreement exists. Use of the Platform by teachers or students does not imply any institutional affiliation.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Teacher subscriptions are billed monthly at the published rate. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and access will remain active through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing cycle. 6. Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify The LeoLab, LLC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. The LeoLab, LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

7. Limitation of Liability

The HERU Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The LeoLab, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

The LeoLab, LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, with or without prior notice.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
