We collect minimal information necessary to operate the Platform:

  • Teacher accounts: Email address, name, and account information provided at registration.
  • Student accounts: Email address and class enrollment information provided by their teacher.
  • Usage data: Reading progress, scores, and activity logs within the Platform to support learning features.
  • Contact inquiries: Name, email, and message content submitted through our contact form.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account details.

3. Payment Information

We do not store, process, or have access to your payment card information. All subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. 4. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account on the Platform.
  • To provide access to HERU reading exercises, AKUA games, and teacher tools.
  • To track and display student progress for teachers and students.

  • To improve Platform features and educational content.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Student Data

Student information is used solely for the purpose of delivering educational services within the Platform. Student data is accessible only to their assigned teacher and Platform administrators. We are committed to complying with applicable student privacy laws, including FERPA where applicable.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and progress data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal obligations.

8. Children's Privacy

The HERU Platform is intended for use by students in grades 9–12 under the supervision of a licensed teacher. Student accounts are created and managed by teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental or school consent.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
